Personal Data
When you purchase tickets from StarTix, we will collect personal information such as name, email address, contact number and credit card details.
Purposes that we collect your personal data for
- Management of your booking or enrolment for tickets, e-tickets, vouchers for a specific event, show, performance, screening, exhibition, conference, to be hosted or provided at a physical venue, virtual venue, online platform or website (each a “Venue”);
- as provider of the StarTix site, for the purposes of management and administration of the Site, including customer registration and account administration.
- as ticket seller, for the purpose of ticket sales administration, processing and issuance, and other ticketed services,
these services include but are not limited to the following:
- provide tickets and information for admission to the event and for admission related activities;
- processing payment for tickets purchased and/or refunds for show cancellations;
- event change notifications;
- verification of your identity when the situation necessitates;
- respond to your queries, applications, complaints or feedback;
- marketing and/or promotional purposes to which you have given prior consent for;
- any other purposes that you have been notified of and consented to.
Data Processing
The StarTix portal serves as a ticketing platform for the event organisers who chose to ticket with us. The data collected will only be disseminated to the relevant organisers and authorities for the purposes of (i) ticketing and event administration; (ii) for marketing and/or promotional purposes that you have given prior consent for; and/or (iii) in the event of national emergency.
As ticketing agent, we have taken reasonable steps to ensure that we have put in place technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, and to only use your data within the scope of your consents. The parties with whom your personal data have been shared with, are responsible for contacting you for obtaining any required additional consents if they wish to use your personal data for any other purposes. They will be responsible for the safe management and handling of these information.
Data Retention
The personal information you provided will be retained until the purposes you consented for have been fulfilled. We will not retain the data unnecessarily unless it is to fulfill our business or legal purposes.
